This dark
quartz has been associated with royalty throughout history. The
ancient Romans used Smokey quartz to make intaglio seals. It is
also the national gem of Scotland and a two and a half inch
Smokey quartz sphere is mounted on the Scottish scepter. The use
of Smokey quartz spheres has been traced back to the Druids and
Queen Elizabeth I was associated with the Smokey quartz "shewstone". |

As
with all quartz, Smokey is an energy generator and conductor.
However, because of its Smokey color, it is also a very
grounding stone. Smokey quartz disperses negative energy
patterns and vibrations, and transmits a higher quantity of
light.

purifies the primal instincts (the 1st root chakra) and helps
one get in touch with nature, and is excellent for meditation
and healing. So many psychics and channellers believe that they
don't need any help because of their egos. Smokey quartz will
